This tutorial is written for PSP7 and assumes you have a good working knowledge
of the PSP tools.
Any resemblence to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed
Paint Shop Pro
Twoo Moon Three PlugIn - Available Here
The Font I Used - Here - Penelope
The Tube I Used - Here
1. Open the tube and shift D to copy it. Close the original for another time.
Image > Canvas Size > Width and Height = both 500.
Centre image horizontally and vertically both checked.
2. Layers > Duplicate twice, re-name them layers 2 and 3.
Turn off the visibility on layers 2 and 3 and make layer 1 active.
3. Effects > PlugIns > Twoo Moon Three > Rotate and Fade Away using these settings :
Spin Till Ya Sick = 150. Hide Behind The Door = 200.
4. Click on Layer 2 to make it active.
Effects > PlugIns > Twoo Moon Three > String Thing with these settings :
Change Up = 204.
Size Me! = 102.
Vertical Drift = 125.
Horizontal Drift = 40.
Vertical Density = 128.
Horizontal Density = 83.
Turn the opacity on this layer to 50.
5. Effects > Noise > Salt and Pepper Filter using these settings :
Speck Size = 3.
Sensitivity To Specks = 8.
Aggressive Action - Checked.
6. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using these settings :
Vertical & Horizontal = 3.
Opacity = 70.
Blur = 6.
Colour = 400000.
7. Click on Layer 3 to make it active. Image > Resize using these settings :
Percentage Of Original = 85.
Resize Type = Bisubic Resample.
Resize All Layers = Unchecked.
Maintain Aspect Ratio = Checked.
8. Image > Mirror. Position your image to the left of your merged background layers.
I lined mine up so that the feet were just touching.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using the same settings as before.
9. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Image > Resize using these settings :
Percentage Of Original = 70.
Resize Type = Bisubic Resample.
Resize All Layers = Unchecked.
Maintain Aspect Ratio = Checked.
Using your mover tool, position your image up slightly to allow room for your text.
10. Set your background colour to #720000 and your foreground colour to #B62421.
Add a new raster layer and add your text using Penelope and these settings :
Size = 48. Bold = Checked. Vector and Antialias = Checked.
11. On your layer palette, click on the + at the side of your text layer.
Right click on your name and Convert Text To Curves > As Character Shapes.
This puts each letter on it's own vector layer. Click on each letter in turn and place it
where you want it to be, you can use my finished sig above as a guide.
I tried to make it appear that the lady was resting on my name but you can do
whatever looks best to you. When you are happy with the placement of your
letters, right click on your text layer and convert to raster layer.
12. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel using the Frame preset.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using the same settings as earlier.
13. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
Edit > Copy. Edit > Paste As New Image. This crops away any excess.
14. Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten). Save as a JPG and you're done.
