This tutorial is written for PSP7 and assumes you have a good
working knowledge of the PSP tools.
Any resemblence to any other tutorial is purely coincidental.
Supplies Needed.
Paint Shop Pro
The Font I Used - Here - Firebomb.
The Tube I Used - Here - This wonderful tube is from Chinni's.
You can visit Chinni's site Here.
It's a fantastic tube site and well worth a visit.
1. Open the tube in PSP. Shift & D to make a copy of it and close the original for future use.
In your layer palette, click on Ebene2 layer to make it active.
Layers > Delete.
Click on Ebene1 layer and Layers > Delete.
Image > Re-size by 60% Bicubic Resample, All Layers Checked.
Image > Canvas Size of 500 Width x 500 Height,
centered horizontally and vertically both checked.
2. Layers > Duplicate. Turn off the visibility on the copy and click on your
original tube layer to make it active.
Effects > Reflection Effects > Kaleidoscope using these settings.
3. Layers > Duplicate. Image > Re-size by 60% Bicubic Resample, All Layers Unchecked.
Layers > Duplicate. Image > Re-size by 60% Bicubic Resample, All Layers Unchecked.
You should now have 3 rings of different sizes.
4. Click on your first copy layer (the middle ring) to make it active.
Image > Rotate. Left and 180 both checked. All Layers Unchecked.
I don't know why but sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't...lol.
You want all the points to be touching each other. If they don't, use your mover
tool to position them, you can use my finished sig above as a guide.
5. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible. Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel with these settings.
6. Effects > 3D Effects Drop Shadow with these settings.
7. Using your Selections Tool, set at rectangle, feather = 0, Antialias Checked.
Select a section of the pattern, try to get a little of each colour in your selection.
Selections > Convert To Seamless Pattern. Minimise your pattern fill and
back on your canvas go to Edit > Undo New Selection.
8. Click on your tube layer, the one that was hidden, to make it active.
Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel using the same settings.
I know it's not normally done but it gives that little bit of depth and highlight.
Effects 3D Effects > Drop Shadow using the same settings.
9. Layers > Merge > Merge Visible.
Using your mover tool, position it to the top centre of your canvas.
Layers > New Raster Layer.
10. Set your foreground to solid colour #C7E424. Set your background to pattern
and locate the pattern fill you created and minimised earlier, Scale = 100, Angle = 0.
Using your text tool, apply your text to your image using these settings.
11. Selections > Select None.
Effects > 3D Effects > Inner Bevel.
Use the same settings as before but change the Ambience to 0.
Effects > 3D Effects > Drop Shadow, same settings as before.
Use your mover tool to position your text below your image.
12. Layers > Merge > Merge All (Flatten).
Crop your image being careful not to take away any of the dropshadows.
Image > Re-size by 75% Bicubic Resample, All Layers Checked.
Save as a jpg and you're done.
