I like Telugu films, songs, literature very much. Sometimes I am bewitched by the sweetness of the Telugu Language. I dont know whether it is emotional or logical , but, Sometimes I lost myself when I see,hear or read some very good Telugu films, songs or literature. As SriKrishna Devarayalu said "Desa Bashalandu telugu lessa".
Even after studying for long time in English medium, nothing can take away the affection I have for my Mother Tongue. There is no day without reading a Telugu Newspaper eventhough it is on web. My father used to be a local town politician and there used to be lot of discussions about politics. And my Dad's brothers used to talk a lot on sports etc. That increased my interest in General Knowledge. Then from the age of 7, I started reading news paper. My habit of reading newspaper won me many prizes in Quiz competition along with one District first prize.
An Interesting Anecdote: At age 8, I dont know what is a comet but I know what is 'thoka chukka'(a telugu word for comet). That is I dont the english word Comet. In a competition they asked me what is falling on certain planet, we have to select one in four multiple choices and I told them I know what it is in Telugu and I was right.
About Telugu Cinema & Songs: I like actors NTR, SV Ranga Rao mainly because of their great dialogue delivery with action. I like actresses like Savithri, Sridevi who can do any role with elan. Ghantasala has been a jewel in the Telugu film Industry. He is both a Singer and Music Director.His 'Bhagavad Geetha' has been my favourite. Then many other music directors like Mahadevan, Ilayaraja, S.Rajeshwara rao ,Song lyricist's like Athreya,sri sri,Arudra etc , Directors like Vishwanath, Bapu etc to todays younger ones have played a vital role in the Telugu film Industry's development. Endaro Mahanubhavulu Andariki Namaskaramulu.
My Favs now: I like some Rajendra prasad's movies very much like pelli pusthakam, Mr. Pellam etc. I like chiranjeevi's dance, Brahmanandam's comedy. I like the direction of Verma, Maniratnam, Krishna Vamsi. All I hate about these stars is the way they behave in films and in real life. eg.Outside they say smoking is bad, but in films they show smoking as a manly act, which effects the younger minds.
Telugu Literature:Telugu language should be grateful to its many poets,writers for its flourishing and existence.
