Welcome to our
site. We are Brian &
Samantha Cini of " SHARCINI SHAR-PEI ".
Our first encounter with the
shar-pei was in 1996, when we looked after an adorable puppy
named " Bruno" who stole our hearts. We had Bruno for a 3
day period as a favour for a close friend and by day 3 Bruno
had won us over with his intelligence, affection and
loyalty.
Brian had never had a dog as a
child and wanted a Maltese Terrier, where as myself I wanted
a large breed as I had grown up with 3 St Bernards and a
German Shepherd but our 3 days with Bruno following us
around and refusing to leave our side , even showering and
working he just had to be there. We had never seen such a
clean and loyal breed as the Shar-pei. So after our time
with Bruno the Shar-pei was definately the breed for us.
That same year after purchasing Bruno we got him a female
friend, " Teliska " and they both still share the love in
our lives now.
In 1999 we had our first litter
with Teliska producing 1 chocolate male, 2 black females,
and 1 cream female that we couldn't let go, we kept her and
decided to start showing where we met people with the same
interest and love for the Shar-pei as us. Now our lives
consist of dogs and showing and we wouldn't have it any
other way. Our aim in breeding is to improve the breed and
promote the Shar-pei.
