Prologue
In the earliest of days, there was
naught save the twilight sky; black and empty but for a single, lambent star,
within which dwelled the Spirit of T'Chen discarnate. She had forged Her home from the fires of chaos, which before Her
coming had imbued the cosmos. But in so
doing, She shaped a universe of ambient blackness.
The Goddess looked outward upon the
enfolding darkness with astral eyes and in time grew to despise the eternal
night. Thus, sacrificing Her sidereal
home, She burst Her holy star apart, casting shards of heaven outward into the
void, whereupon each seeded a new star like Her own, until their like congested
the skies and the timeless gloom fled Her victorious light.
T'Chen was pleased with the light. Yet She saw that it had nothing upon which
to shine, as all the infinite stars gave forth their own radiance. Thus, T'Chen took in Her hands the greatest
of the new stars and cast Her breath upon it, and thus it became the World.
T'Chen was pleased with the World. Yet She saw that it was blank and without
pattern. Thus, T'Chen spread forth Her
hands, and the lands and seas divided and each stood apart from the other.
T'Chen was pleased with the lands and
with the seas. Yet She saw the seas
were vacant and the land was bleak and bare.
Thus, T'Chen passed Her hands o’er the World and the waters brimmed with
fishes, and the lands thus fostered beasts.
T'Chen was pleased with the fish and
with the beasts. Yet She saw that they
moved about and consumed each other, but gave Her no regard. Thus, T'Chen took up in Her hands the mud of
the land, the salt of the seas and the blood of the beasts, and forged them in
Her own likeness, which became the first matron. This matron, T'Chen placed upon the World, in the sacred land of
Osh, and called her Shihara. T'Chen
commanded that she offer to her Goddess soil, salt and blood every sixth day in
grace for her creation.
T'Chen was pleased with the matron
Shihara. Yet She saw Her child was shy
of spirit and her offerings to her Mother were bestowed with wilting zeal. Thus, T'Chen took from Shihara while she
slept, a tooth, and from it created Zecras, which was the first male. T'Chen commanded Zecras to attend always to
Shihara, and afford her every want, which he pledged on his honor to do.
T'Chen was pleased that the World was
at last suitable and finally sound.
Thus, She retired to repose once again among the stars, keeping watch
upon Her people, until they so proved themselves worthy as to sit with Her at
the table of Paradise and share of Her cup, which brimmith with the elixir of
Heaven.
