A Semitic Language But has its own characterstics . In Arabic , The Roots consist of unpronunceable skeleton of three consonants , called Radicals , and these roots are not words . The addition of vowels , prefixes and suffixes to the root makes words . Thus in Arabic , a root like " k-t-b" appears in words like "kataba-wrote" , " kitaab-book" , " mak'toob-letter" , "mak'tabah- library" , mak'tab-office"...etc. |
