| Sydney Hawkins Daugherty, age 91 of Madisonville died Thursday May 17 2001 at 4:50 p.m. at the Wood Presbyterian Home. Preceded in death by parents Will and Mary (Louise) Philpott Daugherty; one sister; and three brothers. Survived by wife Maude Coleman Daugherty; daughter and sister-in-law Helen and Jim Coursey, of Marietta GA; Sons and daughters-in-law, Larry and Sara Ann Daugherty of Clinton, Ray and Joyce Daugherty of Madisonville, seven grand children, three great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. | Thomas Silas Buckner age 74 of Athens passed away Sunday May 27 2001 at Athens Regional Medical Center. A native and longtime resident of McMinn County. A son of the late John and Amanda Wallace Buckner; he was preceded in death by his wife, Virgie Lou Palmer Buckner on Feb 26 1999; three brothers John Henry, James and Virgil Buckner; and one sister Mae Yarber. Survivors include brother and sister-in-law, Horace and Jackie Buckner of Etowah, and several nieces and nephews. Burial will be in the McMinn Memory Gardens. Daily Post Athenian May 29 2001 |
