| A Fan A cool Fan to cool down with! What you need: One sheet of 8 1/2" x 11" paper, plain or colored Crayons, markers, colored pencils, and/or stickers Stapler 1. Let your child pick a piece of 8 1/2" x 11" paper to be his fan. Have him decorate it any way he likes. (Both sides!) 2. Make a 1" fold down the edge of the 8 1/2" side of the paper. Flip it over and fold that fold down again-in other words, start working an accordion fold down the length of the paper. Your child will soon get the hang of it. 3. When the entire page has been accordion-folded, pinch together all the folds along one side and staple them together. The other side will remain "fanned out." 4. Show your child how to hold the stapled end and make a cool breeze with the other. |
