I know a lot of people think that 5 out of the 7 Sharp Shooters were only going on Holiday to get pissed and lie by the pool doing nothing all day. This was true, but I like to justify this pre season break by saying that we were going to play to matches and keep in physical shape by not drinking and training hard (Yeah I know this sounds bollocks & didn't happen). |

We stayed in Argassi just outside Laganos and whilst we were there we were so close to playing our first international friendly match on two occasions. We nearly played a local bar called 'The Green Frog' and also nearly played with a local restaurant called 'Granada'.
Whilst in Zante we agreed to meet up for a game of footy against 'The Green Frog', we sorted this out with one of the PR's, but unfortunately he was sacked (unfairly). When the big day arrived, we turned up in our kits (bar crawl T shirts, which we all got drunk on), but no one had any idea what was going on and we were FORCED to spend the day by the pool instead.
The other match we were supposed to play was against 'Granada', which had a Thurrock bird outside promoting it. We ate there 5 times, got given free shots, water melon and was just a nice place. Unfortunately we couldn't play as they wanted to play us at night and it was our last big night on the island. |

Anyway hopefully we can be playing our first international friendly next year and more pictures (the ones I can show) from Zante are below.
