We were in the promotion places all but the 1st game, of the season, so the promotion is fully justified. At one point during the season we were 4 points clear and looking dead certs for the title.
This season was broken down into 2 parts, with our 1st being sensational getting 12 points in 15, only losing to the Wallbags on the opening game of the season. The 2nd half of the season we were slightly worse picking up only 5 points, suffering 2 heavy losses (JFK & Dirty Half Dozen).
The outstanding stars of the season were Spanton & Andy who made lots of saves/saving tackles which allowed us to win lots of tight games in the 1st part of the season.
A little bit of history????
We may go down in history as the 1st team to go up with a minus goal difference, as all our wins were tight victory’s and the 2 heavy losses wiped out all our goal difference.
