| Start of Season Thoughts |
| This is an important season for the Sharp Shooter, having lost 3 key players in the last 2 seasons, suffering 2 relegations and only winning 2 in the last 20. We have underperformed as a team in this period and the most important aim if the season is to maintain our status in this league and ensure we can launch a title challenge next season. If we manage promotion this season it will be a bonus. Despite losing Paul and Andy, 2 players are in the pipeline and would add a different dimension to the team and put us back up to div 2 or 3 where we belong. More news to follow about this. All I’m looking for this season is consistency, competitive games and to have a full squad by the end of the season. |

| End of Season Thoughts |
| At the start of season we were unsure who would play, but the acquisitions of Tom P and Graham has filled the void left by Andy & Paul. Our aim was to preserve our league status, but despite that I think this was a below par season although we achieved 15 out of 30 points and finished 4th. We beat the bottom 2 sides (both of which are new) twice and are both in a league currently beyond them. The best result was a 3 – 1 victory against Cockney Loco.
Their are 2 pieces of relevant news at the end of this campaign. 1. Midway through the season I decided that next season we would start in dvision 9 as we have 3 new players and an unfilled gk position as I think the team needs to gel and start from scratch 2. This campaign is unfortunately Toms last, but he has been replaced by Stu on a permanent basis. Thanks to Toms hard work. Overall a mixed season but a foundation to build upon. |

Squad: Daniel B, Fung C & Matt E (Gks), Tom N, James C, Paul S Goal Scorers: None How the match went: This was a game of 2 halves. The 1st half we went 3 - 0 down with some poor defending. In the 2nd half we drew 0 - 0, which could have been better, but I missed penalty. Overall the 2nd half showed we should be fine in this league. Match 2 Squad: Daniel B, Matt E (Gk), Fung, Tom N, James C, Graham S Goal Scorers: None How the match went: Although we lost this match 2 – 0, it could easily have been a game we got something out of, after they scored a screamer and converted a dubious penalty. Graham S played for the 1st time and looked like he fitted in to the team well. Match 3 Squad: n/a Goal Scorers: n/a How the match went: This was a walkover victory, as Coconut City pulled out at the beginning of the season. Match 4 Squad: Daniel B, Matt E (Gk), James C, Graham S, Tom P, Tom N, Fung C Goal Scorers: None How the match went: This is Tom P’s 1st match for us and what a match to start. We racked up our record loss to date and we were put under pressure right from the 1st whistle. The only consolation is that we are not the only team to get hammered by them. Match 5 Squad: Daniel B, Matt E (Gk), James C, Graham S, Tom P, Stu I Goal Scorers: Daniel B (1) How the match went: This was our 1st victory of the season against a side that although had a chunk of possession never had a clear cut chance. A well deserved result. Match 6 Squad: Daniel B, Matt E (Gk), James C, Graham S, Tom P, Tom N, Fung C Goal Scorers: None How the match went: Daniel B, Matt E (Gk), Tom N, Fung C, Stevie Gee, Stu I, Mike E Match 7 Squad: Daniel B, Matt E (Gk), Tom N, Fung C, Stevie Gee, Stu I, Mike E Goal Scorers: Tom N (2), Mike E (1) How the match went: This was a good result with a team that was put together at the last moment. Although we went behind, we managed to pull 3 goals back and shock the team in 2nd. This was a great result. Match 8 Squad: James C, Matt E (Gk), Fung C, Stu I, Paul M, Stevie G Goal Scorers: Paul M (1 Pen) How the match went: This match we were all over the opposition despite our last minute squad. We could have had 10, but had a settle for a solitary penalty. Match 9 Squad: Tom N, Matt E (Gk), James C, Fung C, Graham S, Stu I, Paul M Goal Scorers: None How the match went: We were dominated by a team destined to reach the 1st division and it was no shame losing 3 – 0. They could have scored more. Match 10 Squad: James C, Fung C (Gk), Stu I, Mags, Player E, Player F Goal Scorers: Player F How the match went: Their was a mix up for this game which meant we were told we were playing a friendly, but it was a competitive game. The squad was rushed, but we played well and Fung didn’t have much to do. |
