| SS 1 - B.T. FC 12 16th August 2005 |
| This match was against a new team that we hadn’t played before and was a new challenge. From what I had been told about them, we were in for a tough match. The match started well with the only high point of the game being in the first minute, when Andy scored for us to take the lead. After this point we proceeded to concede 12 more goals due to woeful defending and all round play. We haven’t lost this heavily since March 2005 against On Line FM Apologies this is a short report, but all that can be said is that we were woeful and B.T. FC were much better than us. I hope they beat the Fruity Boys next week to go up, as I don’t want to play them again in the near future. Onto next week against Anglo-Italia FC and a positive end to the season. |

| This week’s match was our first ‘top of the table clash’ for a long while. Last time we played BT FC we were on the wrong end of a drubbing, so hopefully things were going to be better. The match started well with both teams holding firm and in general the first half was very close. After some solid defending we took the lead after a long shot from James which went underneath the keeper. BT FC hit back quickly with 2 goals to take the lead. At the end of the first half I scored with a left foot shot across the keeper, after a throw from Andy. At half time it was only 2 – 2 and we were playing like a team. The 2nd half started badly with us conceding a quick goal and from there on in we were playing catch up. We were 4 – 2 down when I scored my 2nd after rounding the keeper, after latching onto a short defensive pass. That was as good as it got, as after that we conceded 5 and they scored some clinical goals. Overall the first half we held our own, 2nd half played badly and got punished. If we play that standard of football for the rest of the season, then we should be in with a chance of promotion. |

| SS 9 - B.T. FC 9 18th Oct 2005 |
| This week we played B.T FC, the team we were promoted with last season. This was going to be a tough match, as B.T FC had won all the previous battles. The match started badly with us conceding 3 goals, before Paul replied with the first of his 7 goals on the night (vote for him on player of the month nominations). The first half was a battle with us trying to keep in touch with BT, never going more than 3 goals down. Paul scored all the goals in this half and at half time we were only 1 goal down (I think 5 – 4). The 2nd half was equally a battle, with late challenges going in and a needless overreaction against James C, which was completely uncalled for. During this half we were always behind or level up until the last 3 minutes. Goals from Me, Paul (2) and Spanton put us in the lead, before we conceded a ninth goal to get a well earned point. B.T. FC scored a couple of decent goals, including a cracking strike from there keeper. Overall a good result and if we play like that every week, we have every chance of staying in the championship. |
