SS 7 - Dan's Allstars 9     16th May 2006
This is the first match report I have written in over 3 seasons, so bear with me whilst I find my creative writing. This week we played Dan’s Allstar’s and to get a good start to the season was essential. This week we had a debutant; Matt E made his first competitive start for the Sharp Shooters.

The first half we were not on form and conceded goals through sloppy play. Their were a few first half highlights including a ‘bullet’ header from the half way line by Spanton. Their movement in the first half was too good for us, whilst a few silly mistakes and lack of marking meant that we were losing about 6 – 2 by half time.

The 2nd half we appeared to wake up and produced a much better display with goals from Andy, James C (2), one of which was from a tight angle and various other goal scorers. In this half we bought our keeper (Dave) out when he had the ball and this worked well. We may try this again in the future.

Overall a poor first half, followed by a much better 2nd half and a game we probably deserved to lose. Next week we can hopefully get our season back on track.
