SS 3 - Image 8   7th Dec 2004
This was a match which summed up our season. With both Dave and Alex injured, Martin and Ant came into replace them.

The match started badly by going 2 – 0 down and then Tom also injured himself. We hit back when Paul scored a quick well placed free kick We then conceded a few more, but only scored 2, one a lucky deflection and the other a good strike from Andy.

Overall Image are a very good side and I fancy them for promotion next season. This was a tough match that we deserved to lose and summed up or season perfectly. Hopefully next season we can play a bit better, that’s if I can find 5 fit players. Onto next season……….
Season 12
Only one word can be used to describe the entire match, FARCIAL.

With the new league system in place, all the kick off times had changed. This fixture time for this match was 6.40pm and with people having to come home from work in London and Braintree, it was an impossibility. To start with, due to our Keeper getting home form work late, we had no one capable of playing in goal. That night we tried 4 separate keepers, me, Tom, James and Paul. With the exception of Tom, you might as well had a can of Pepsi in goal, because we were all dire.

Also due to the ridiculously early kick off time, we actually had to start the match with 4 players. Now getting to the match, this game was uneven to start and its no surprise that this result occurred, we played hard, I scored a hat trick, our defending was all over the place and any shot that was on target had a chance of going in.

To make matters worse, after our 13 - 5 drubbing, we underpaid by £1 and they decided to take our goals away, due to underpayment. This would seem fair on the surface, but when you consider that we have always, always, always been in credit since the season started, I don’t know how they can justify this. All I got told when i queried this, was to 'talk to the head office'.

Overall I believe that this could have been a tight and competitive match, but wasn't for many reasons. Anyway, I’m not a bad loser, well done to Image.
This match was a poor match and bought us back down to earth after the Chequers result.

We started the match slowly and conceded 4 sloppy goals in the first half. There is not much not to say in the first period apart from we were outplayed. In the second half things brightened up a bit with Spanton scoring his first Sharp Shooters goal. The only downside was that we conceded 4 more sloppy goals.

Overall this was a match of two teams, we played badly and they played well. The margin between the two sides is not as great as the result would seem, but was probably fair on the night. Anyway, next week we play Back Of The Net FC and hopefully our push for promotion can begin.

SS 5 - Image FC 8 30th May 2006
As none of my players who have said they would write me a match report have, I have written one myself (even though I wasn’t there).

Tonight’s match was a tight affair against a decent Image team, the conditions were bad and both teams kept slipping over due to the rain. This game was a tight match and in the 2nd half we were 5 – 5, but alas we faltered at the end, possibly due to match fitness and possibly the conditions.

The goals were scored by Paul, Andy & Coley. One thing Coley & Paul did say as that one of their players won it for them, he was the one that created everything and made things happen
