This week we played our 2nd game in the mini season and hoped to make an improvement on last week. This week I didn’t play as was ill, but managed to get out of bed to go and watch.
The first half started well and was a scrappy affair. Leigh Town did a majority of the attacking, although we countered a few times to create chances. Overall the first half was a tight solid game, with no clear cut chances created.
The 2nd half was the same as the first and we defended resolutely. Both goals in this game, came form the penalty spot. Leigh Town took the lead after Andy wandered into our area clearing a ball and our penalty came from an obstruction just inside there penalty area on Paul. Paul stepped up to take the penalty to equalise.
Overall a good point and a good solid performance, I was impressed. |
