Season 9
Sharp Shooters v  Lucky Pierre
SS 7 - Lucky Pierre 3    24th August 2004
This was a decent enough performance with our team missing two of its regular players. Dave had his priorities all wrong and watched Southend v West Ham, whilst James couldn’t make it, as he had half his face hanging off. Graham and John stepped in for the night, to ensure we had a full squad.

The game started well and by half time we were 5 – 1 up, some of it to do with dubious keeping. They swapped keepers at half time, but he still couldn’t stop us scoring 2 more. Tonight everyone had a good game, Andy scored a hat-trick (it’s been a very long time), John did well, everything bounced of Graham and generally we weren’t bad.

Overall they didn’t have that many chances on goal and we deserved our victory. We are still in with a chance of promotion next week.
Season 10
Sharp Shooters v Lucky Pierre
SS 5 - Lucky Pierre 7 19th Oct 2004
Tonight’s match was crucial, if we won we would go up. The match started badly with us conceding 2 goals, but we managed to get back in it with a goal from Paul, after the keeper kicked the ball against him and rebounding in. After 2 more goals from Paul, we eventually took the lead for the only point in the match. We eventually went into half time with a 5 – 3 deficit after conceding 3 sloppy goals.

The 2nd half started tightly and a superb solo goal from Tom put us back in the match. Alex scored the final goal after my shot came back of the post. These 2 goals weren’t enough and Lucky Pierre scored a couple more to win promotion.

Overall this was a pretty poor match, we have played much better in previous weeks. Anyway another season in the conference, 3rd again.
SS 4 - Lucky Pierre 12    21st June 2004
This match was a complete farce, but somehow we are still in 4th place, I’m not quite sure how.

Prior to the match we had to wait over an hour for goals, I know they are not that important in a game of 5-a-side, but we eventually found some (I don’t know whether you can note my sarcasm). After much chasing around by Jon, we finally managed to play.

The match started badly with us conceding 4 goals in roughly 5 minutes and the match got worse after that. They had lots of chances and by the end could have been lots up. We were lucky to only concede 12 after Graham made numerous saves.

Our goals tonight came from Fung, Andy (2) and a cracking own goal that anyone would have been proud off.

Overall this was a shocking performance and a shocking result, I don’t think any of us were in the right frame of mind to play this match, perhaps we should have accepted the 0 – 0 draw. We didn’t have James C, James S or Dave playing tonight. Anyway onto next week against RBS when most of us will be on holiday..
