This match report is being written in season 8 (29.5.04), as the results have now been remembered/worked out.
This was a terrible match, which I will not be able to forget for a long time. I happen to know the opponenets we played against, as I work with one of them and know his friends. This match was a battle of pride and went further than just winning 3 points.
The match itself was quite tight in the first half and beleive it ir not, we actually went 5 - 4 up. At this point I thought we would run away with it and put loads past them, but the opposite thing happened. There is one memory of this match that sticks out in my mind. Tim scored from a corner whilst blatently standing in the area, but the refereee gave it as a goal and Tim still hasn't admitted this claiming it was a goal.
Overall a poor match, which I still get reminded about. |
