We are a small farm located in central Ohio. Built in 1834, we feel privileged to live in Shaw House, one of the first brick houses built in the county, surrounded by natural woods, a winding creek and white picket fences.
Our dogs are raised as family pets in a natural and healthy environment. Positive training and wholesome foods are the basis for optimum health and happiness. We breed for temperament, brains, beauty, and health striving to produce the best Aussie possible.
We firmly believe that a versatile dog is well rounded and has a title at both ends of their name. Shawtown Aussies successfuly show, trial or train in a variety of venues including conformation, agility, herding, flyball and search and rescue.
All our dogs have appropriate health clearances and all puppies come with normal guarantees. We study health, structure, pedigrees and look for versatility when breeding. Our goal is always to improve,whether it be for performance or pet.
We only breed occasionaly and strive to maintain a small kennel so that we can give our dogs the attention they deserve. Bonding with your dog through training and trialing is an unbelievable experience!
Although we love and are proud of the Mini Aussies we have and have produced we are concentrating exclusively on Australian Shepherds.
