| The Details of The Big Day: Kate and I woke up bright and early because we couldn't sleep. We drove to McDonalds and got breakfast for us, the boys, and Bekah. When we got back we had breakfast and lazily did my nails before basically kicking the guys out whle we got ready. My MIL Lynda showed up around 11 am to do my hair and makeup. When I got in my dress Kate burst into tears. My mother in law Lynda chose that moment to give me her grandmother's jewelry and tell me she couldn't have picked a better daughter in law. After we all stopped bawling like babies we redid our makeup and she did my hair. Then we drove to the park, where Mr. Reardon set up the arch for us while Emry and Rob finished getting ready. We took some posed pics first and then promptly at 2 pm, the ceremony started. Aunt Harriet gave me away. As soon as I started down the aisle I started bawling. I didn't stop the whole ceremony. Rob was beaming like kid holding the keys to a candy store. We said our "I do"s, and exchanged rings. Pastor Ed said we were man and wife and we kissed. Our reception was held at Koinonia church. It was beautiful. Our cake was by Adrienne Boswell. |
