SIBERIAN HUSKY CLUB OF QUEENSLAND
Affiliated with the Canine Control Council ( Queensland )
The role of the Siberian Husky Club of Qld is
to assist and to educate all owners and prospective owners of
Siberian Huskies.
The Club also wishes to promote and encourage the responsible
breeding of purebred Siberian Huskies, promote and raise the
standards and exhibiting of dogs, to conduct exhibitions and
shows, to hold functions and lectures relating to Siberian
Huskies and to be involved in any other activities that promote
or encourage interest in the breeding, upkeep, training and
general well-being and improvement of the Siberian Husky breed.
The Club will attempt to provide all new and existing members
with information on the disadvantages and advantages of owning a
Siberian Husky, as well as providing articles within the Husky
Herald Newsletter on genetics, hereditary defects, general care
and training, and tips on responsible breeding practises.
The Club will also endeavour to hold Fun Days where fanciers of
the breed, whether they Show, Sled or just own Companion dogs,
can come together and share friendship, knowledge and experience.
Membership is open to fanciers dedicated to the ongoing welfare
of the Siberian Husky.
Code of Ethics
I / We will display good sportsmanship at all canine activities and competitions.
I / We will attempt to help novice exhibitors and breeders, and Siberian Husky Fanciers.
I / We will fully advise all prospective
Siberian Husky Owners of the advantages and disadvantages of
owning a Siberian
Husky.
I / We will attempt to keep well informed in
the field of genetics and make every effort to eliminate any
known
hereditary defects.
I / We will, prior to entering into any
breeding agreement, fully analyse the conformations, pedigrees
and the
temperaments of the prospective sire and dam, whilst keeping the
breed standard clearly in mind.
Should I/We decline any mating, if my / our opinion it is not in
the best interest of the breed, fully explain my / our reasons.
I / We will not allow my / our brood bitch(es)
to be bred more than twice in each successive breeding period of
twelve (12)
months. In the event that a bitch is bred twice in twelve (12)
months, then under NO circumstances will I allow my / our brood
bitch(es) to have puppies for a period of twelve (12) months
after the second litter.
I / We will follow-up on all dogs sold or
placed by myself / ourselves, and offer assistance or advice for
as long as the new
owner(s) require.
I / We will encourage any interested party, especially new Siberian Husky owners to join the Siberian Husky Club of Qld .
I / We will be bound by the abovementioned Code
of Ethics and ensuing additions or amendments that shall be
determined
from time to time.
I / We have never been convicted under the Cruelty to Animals Act in any state or territory of Australia.
I / We am / are not currently under investigation or suspension by any Member Body of the Australian National Kennel Council.

General Meetings of the Siberian Husky Club of Queensland are held on the 1st Tuesday of each month at
Meeting
Rooms, CCC Grounds, 247 King Avenue, Durack commencing at 7:30pm.
ALL MEMBERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO ATTEND.
