Hi there. Welcome to Rhyme "N" Reason. My name is Amanda Jay Clark, but my friends call me Mandy. This is a collection of my poetry, split into four groups. I was born in Warwick, England, on, Saturday 6th May 1961. That make me and George Clooney, twins, though obviously not related. We do have things in common though. We are both blissfully single, don't want children, and love pigs. So, maybe there is something to this horoscope thing after all. While George has a real pig called, Max, I only have a stuffed one called, Mr. Tyler. He is called Mr. Tyler because, he is a Ham. (Fans of the TV series V will understand that.) I love to read, and write. My favorite author is Dean R Koontz, but I also love Richard Laymon, Harry Turtledove, Minette Walters, John Grisham, and Shaun Hutson. For music, it has to be Tom Jones, although I listen to a lot of easy listening - middle of the road kind of stuff. Gene Pitney, Paul Anka, Billy Fury, that kind of thing. As for actors, there is really only Michael Ironside who has sex appeal for me. I can't get enough of the man. I adore him. I can't stand chic-flicks, they make me cringe and puke. Movies have to be loud, fast and bloody to get my attention. As for my favorite poet? Why, it's me of course - who else? Yes, I can be a bighead at times. She is for sure, seemed like the perfect address for me to use for my web site. Comedy A collection of comedic poems to tickle your funny bone. Poems like: The Short Sad Life Of An Unloved Pig, and, Oh No! Not The Dentist Again. Plus many more. Conscience A collection of poems with a conscience, like: Justice, an anti crime poem. And, Man Of Action, an anti war poem. Plus many more. Heart A collection of poems of Romance & Heartache. Sad and soppy all the way. Poems like: Today, Tomorrow & Always, and Once. Person A collection of personalized poems about the rich and famous. People like Diana, princess of Wales, Dean R Koontz, and fabulous actor, Michael Ironside. Read the tribute I sent to him on his 50th birthday, (someone should, I'm sure he didn't!) Also, there are poems in this section about people you will never have heard of, like the one I did for my brother on his 40th birthday. These are still fun to read, because they are all true stories. If someone you know has a special birthday coming up, e-mail me, and I'll write him or her a personalized poem. They make wonderful party pieces, especially if they include all those embarrassing little secrets, and the things that we have never been allowed to live down! |
