20th June - Trip to New York
On June 20th, Mum came over to stay and we did some sightseeing.
Starting with the statue of liberty, viewed on the Staten Island ferry we wandered through the streets to be greeted by the raging bull in the financial district across the road from Wall Street.
The next day was a quick tour of Philadelphia where we saw the liberty bell.
Finally there was an evening in the pub with some friends.
28th June - Trip to Lambertville
Lambertville as a town dates back to 1724, it has the Delaware River meandering through the centre as well as a connection of canal systems.
The character of the town is still as it was in the 1800's with tree lined streets and victorian houses.
Lambertville is known as the "Antique capital of New Jersey" with an array of little shops all selling collectors items dating bak to the 1800's.
