Blame
By: SheridanCraneFitzgerald@hotmail.com

I'm screaming inside,
Cries echoing in this void.
My soul is tortured;
My devotion is unalloyed,
Ultimately destroying me
In this path of nothingness.
Thus, I am to be blamed.
It's my fault, I confess.
Why this blackness permeates me--
I knew it would, of course.
I knew that, in the end,
Melancholy would be forced.
I dove in too soon,
And escaped much too late.
So, you see, it's true:
It is I who must be blamed.
