Night
By: SheridanCraneFitzgerald@hotmail.com

Lonely, blue sky,
Devoid of stars and moon,
The comfort of night forgotten
Among this weary tune.
Chirp of crickets fall upon
These deaf, unwilling ears.
I exist without, and within,
I'm never really here.
Solitary star
Upon the lonely sky,
Beckoning to me --
"Make a wish tonight!"
But my only honest wish
Is I'll wish for nevermore! --
Because with you here with me,
I'd have nothing to wish for.
