River Of Tears
By: SheridanCraneFitzgerald@hotmail.com

Before you said you loved me
The tears would never come.
Alone, I looked into tomorrow,
And cast away the sun.
Inside, my tears would drown me,
But never would they flow.
Unseen -- clandestine.
I refused to let them show.
My supposed hero, you,
Who saved this life of mine:
Trapped in destiny,
I allowed the sun to shine.
And with it came the tears.
The bitter irony
That now, they finally show
Only confuses me.
How bright you make life seem,
But sad that now I cry.
If only the river of tears would cease,
And once again run dry.
