The Thunder Within
By: SheridanCraneFitzgerald@hotmail.com

Fiery, your eyes land upon me,
And lightning slices my heart.
Thunder permeates my being
As I long to be in your arms,
Whispering that I'm sorry,
Trying to relieve the hurt
That you feel, and make me feel
With your unspoken words.
I can almost see your tears,
But you won't let them come.
You've clouded your emotions,
And with it, taken my sun.
You long to be alone,
But I long to be with you,
Healing that heated argument
That came much too soon.
You turn away with silent anger
That sizzles inside of me,
And stalk away with a hurt heart,
Bitter and unhappy.
I watch you go and let the rain
Drench all my insides,
Leaving you alone for now:
We'll meet up another time.
