Resist
By: SheridanCraneFitzgerald@hotmail.com

I weep no more, for I behold
A beauty that's stolen my heart and soul.
A ridiculous notion, I confess.
But my heart had expected nothing less.
Eyes star-bright against the dark world.
A passion revealed; a longing unfurled.
What once was clandestine now unfolds
In the kisses so soft and sensual.
Risen emotion in the depth of my eyes,
No longer able to hide their lies.
A dream untold revealed to me;
A love I'd once refused to see.
But sweet dreams; this seems surreal:
The depth of emotion that I feel.
Alas, I can't resist the pull
Of the enchanting love you slyly wove.
