[Note:  I have started with the matriarch of this particular family, because it was two of her daughters and herself who married into the Blancett family, which has caused confusion in research]
1.  Cyrena1 Halstead, daughter of Richard Halstead III (1759-aft 1820) and Sybil Reid (1760-aft 1820), was born in Luzerne County Pennsylvania, March 27, 1798.  Cyrena died April 1, 1871 at Washington Co. Ohio, at 73 years of age. It is assumed that she was living with her daughter, Hannah Hart (Mrs. Henry C. Hart) when she died. Her body was interred April 1871 at Newport, Washington Co OH, Beech Grove Cemetery.
She married twice.  She first married David Rood, Steuben Co. NY, 1814.  David was born in (Lucerne Co. PA) July 26, 1793.  David was the son of Elijah Rood and Martha Stephens.
In 1817 he and his young family moved to  Waterford twp,  Washington Co. OH, from Steuben Co. NY. He, like many of the Rood men, was a carpenter. David died July 11, 1835 in Washington Co. OH, at 41 years of age. In the Beech Grove or Hill Cemetery, as it is known today, about 6 miles northeast from Marietta, OH, his slate tombstone was found. It had never been recorded, despite the many readings that this cemetery has had through the years. It had apparently lain upside down for many years covered with grass and dirt until found in 2002.  The only lettering on the tombstone was, David Rood.
Cyrena married for the second time to William  Blancett at Marietta Washington Co OH, December 26, 1839.  William was born in Pennsylvania, July 30, 1799.  He married Ann Nancy  (Putnam) Nash at Marietta Washington Co OH, May 15, 1824.  William died May 15, 1854 in Marietta, Washington Co. OH, at 54 years of age. His body was interred May 1854 in Newport, Washington Co. OH, Beech Grove Cemetery.   Inscription:  Died May 15, 1854, 54 yrs 10 mo. 15 dys;. William's occupation: boat builder/carpenter at Marietta Washington Co OH, 1850.  In September of 1850 Census, Washington Co. OH, 2nd Ward: William Blansett lives in dwelling 106, Willliam Corner, lives in dwelling 105. He was doubly counted in that 1850 Census in Wood Co. WV, across from Marietta.
