Note:  There are some researchers who believe that Zacariah is the son of Murphy Reece and grandson of Roger Reece but I refrain from using that material until there is more substantial proof to that lineage. I am trying to nail down this  aspect of the genealogy. Until then, I will begin with....

1.  Zacariah C. Reece was born at Tennessee, October 15, 1823.  Zacariah died July 25, 1899 in Enola Faulkner Co. AR, at 75 years of age.

He married Malinda Jane Starr in Tipton Co. TN, October 16, 1841.  Malinda was born in Tennessee  April 1829.  Malinda was the daughter of George W. Starr and Elizabeth ________. In 1910 Malinda resided with her daughter, Mary (Mrs. Henry H. ) Sanders in Enola Faulkner Co. AR where she was listed as "a quiltmaker".  Malinda died bef. 1920, probably at Faulkner Co. AR.

Zacariah registered to pay taxes in Conway Co. AR, 1845.  Zacariah was listed as the head of a family on the 1850 Census in Muddy Bayou Conway Co. AR.: [Note: they say they were all born in Kentucky, except for the youngest child, but we know that wasn't so.]

Zacariah served in the Confederate army enlisting in Springfield, AR, July 1, 1862.  Four sources for military service:

Zacariah registered to pay taxes in Muddy Bayou Faulkner Co AR, March 5, 1896.

Zacariah C. Reece and Malinda Jane Starr had the following children:

3        ii. Henry Reece was born in Conway Co. AR, abt 1845.  Henry died before 1860 at AR.

4       iii. George M. Reece was born in TN February 1848.  George died before 1920 in Galla Rock twp. Yell AR.  He married Frances Rachel at AR, 1868. He married M.T. Carter, February 24, 1889, Yell Co. AR.

5       iv. Rebecca Reece was born in Muddy Bayou  Conway Co. AR abt. 1849.  Rebecca died before 1860 in Muddy Bayou Conway Co. AR.

6        v. Sarah Jane Reece was born in Nashville, Davidson Co. TN February 7, 1852.  Sarah died July 26, 1922 in Enola Faulkner Co. AR, at 70 years of age.  Her body was interred July 27, 1922 in Enola Faulkner Co. AR, Siloam Cemetery.  She married John N. Curtis in Conway Co. AR, May 30, 1869.

7       vi. Mary A. Reece was born February 26, 1854.  She married Henry H. Sanders in Conway Co. AR, 1875. Noted in 1910 Census that they were married 35 yrs.

8      vii. Andrew Jackson (Jack) Reece was born in Conway Co. AR April 27, 1858.  Andrew died March 11, 1938 in Enola Faulkner Co. AR, at 79 years of age.  He married Stella A. Hettie Woodworth 1880.

9     viii. Margaret Josephine (Jossie) Reece was born in Conway Co. AR September 1869.  Margaret died before 1900 in Enola Faulkner Co. AR.  She married _______ Bryant at AR.

Second Generation

2.  Jasper Newton Reece (Zacariah C.1) was born in Muddy Bayou  Conway Co. AR February 9, 1844.  Jasper died February 19, 1930 in Stigler Haskell OK,  "86 yrs 0 mo. 10 dys". Jasper Reece was living with son, Joseph Anthony ("Aintny") Reece when he died.

He married Mariah Narcissus Brady in Conway Co. AR, December 22, 1866.  Mariah was born in Conway Co. AR November 1851.  Mariah was the daughter of  William Brady and Mariah Caudle.  Mariah died October 9, 1903 at Sprio LeFlore Co., OK, at 51 years of age.  Her body was interred abt 1903 at Sprio LeFlore Co., OK, Cochie Ceme.

Jasper served in the Union army, enlisted in Little Rock AR, October 28, 1863.  Mustered out at Lewisberg, AR, June 30, 1865. Was 19 yrs old when enlisted.

Jasper was listed as the head of a family on the 1870 Census in Muddy Bayou Conway Co. AR.:   Jasper Reece, farmer, age 26 Miriah, age 19, AR.

Jasper was listed as the head of a family on the 1900 Census at Wilson Yell Co. AR.:

13       iv. Nancy L. Reece was born abt 1877.  Nancy died bef 1900 at AR.

+        14        v. Arthur Jessie Reece was born August 5, 1879.

15       vi. Joseph Anthony ("Aintny") Reece was born in Casa, Perry Co.  AR November 9, 1881.  Joseph died October 6, 1966 in Stigler Haskell OK, at 84 years of age.  His body was interred 1966 in Stigler Haskell OK, Antioch Cemetery.  He married Georgia King in Fowler Yell Co. AR, February 10 1901. He married Mary ________.

16      vii. Addie Reece was born 1884.  Addie died November 9, 1905 at 21 years of age.

17     viii. Anna Elma Reece was born in Dardanelle Bottoms  Yell Co. A March 15, 1889.  She married Elisha Chastine in Dardanelle Yell Co. AR, 1906. She resided in Caney, Montgomery, KS. She had nine children. Not much known about her.

18        ix. Jasper Eldon Reece was born March 15, 1889.  Jasper died August 5, 1959 at 70 years of age.  He married Edna _______.

19         x. Susan A. Reece was born in Dardanelle  Yell Co. AR December 1890.

20        xi. Henry Eathel Reece was born in Dardanelle  Yell Co. AR March 1895.  Henry died October 25, 1912 in Stigler Haskell OK, at 17 years of age.

Third Generation

         12.William Nathan Reece (Jasper Newton2, Zacariah C.1) was born in (Enola, Faulkner Co.)  AR March 1, 1875.  William died July 30 1941 in Muskogee Muskogee Co. OK, at 66 years of age.

Obituary for William Reece:

Reece Services Held at Dustin

Funeral services were held at 3 o'clock Friday in the Dustin Assembly of God church for William N. Reece, 67, long-time resident of that community, who died Wednesday in a Muskogee hospital from an infection caused by a thorn in his finger.

Mr. Reece had been a resident of Dustin for many years and had a wide acquaintance throughout the town and community.

He is survived by his wife, five daughters, Mrs. M. J. Sisson, Henryetta; Mrs. Ollie Jobe; Mrs. Bob Martin, both of Muskogee; Mrs. Howard Whitehead and Mrs. Joseph Cernicek, both of De Soto, MO; five sons, Joe, Muskogee; Elize, McClain, Tex; Clifford, Puerto Rico and Daniel and Samuel of Palacros, TX. Twenty-nine grandchildren and one great grandchild also survive.

The Rev. Cecil Thomas officiated at the services and burial was in Dustin cemetery with Parks Funeral home in charge of arrangements. His body was interred August 1941 in Dustin Hughes Co. OK.  "66 yrs. 4 mo. 29 days".

He married Mary Callie Ferren in Carden Bottoms Yell Co AR, October 21, 1894.

21         i. Manuel T.4 Reece was born in Carden Bottoms  Yell Co AR August 15, 1895.  Manuel died August 15, 1895 in Carden Bottoms Yell Co AR, at less than one year of age.

22        ii. Lily G. Reece was born in Carden Bottoms  Yell Co AR December 25, 1897.  Lily died February 29, 1976 at 78 years of age.  Her body was interred February 1976 at Henryetta Okfuskee OK, New Sonora Cemetery.  She married M. K. (Blackie) Sisson 1921.

23       iii. Joseph William (Joe) Reece was born in Dardanelle Bottoms  Yell Co. A August 9, 1899.  Joseph died March 28, 1979 in Muskogee Muskogee Co. OK, at 79 years of age.  His body was interred 1979 in Muskogee Muskogee Co. OK, Greenhill Cemetery.  He married Minnie Earl Bradshaw in Stigler Haskell OK, December 31, 1919.  Minnie was born in Chalybeat Springs Stone Co AR June 13, 1901.  Minnie was the daughter of John T. Bradshaw and India Annetta Clark.  Minnie died January 3, 1979 in Muskogee Muskogee Co. OK, at 77 years of age.  Joe's occupation: carpenter, painter.

24       iv. Elsie Reece was born in Stigler   Haskell  OK August 10, 1901.  Elsie died May 16, 1952 in Buena Park Orange CA, at 50 years of age.  He married Fannie Farmer in Holdenville Hughes Co OK, August 20, 1924.

25        v. Milsie Reece was born in Stigler   Haskell  OK August 10, 1901.  Milsie died October 14, 1905 in Stigler Haskell OK, at 4 years of age.

26       vi. Flossie O. Reece was born in Stigler   Haskell  OK August 28, 1902.  Flossie died December 29, 1982 in Shawnee OK, at 80 years of age.  Her body was interred December 29, 1982 in Ft. Gibson, OK, Ft. Gibson Nat'l Cemetery.  Obituary for Flossie Jobe:

Flossie Jobe, former resident of Muskogee and Holdenville, OK was born in Stigler, OK, August 28, 1902 and passed away in the Shawnee Medical Center, Shawnee OK, Wednesday, December 29, 1982 at the age of 80 years. She moved from Stigler to Muskogee and lived there until moving to Holdenville in 1960. She had lived in Shawnee since 1980.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Ollie Augusta Jobe, December 5, 1976

She is survived by: 1 daughter:  Flossie Owens of Shawnee, OK 3 sons:  Louise McKellop, Longview, WA; James McKellop, Muskogee OK; Floyd Whitehead, San Antonio, TX 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren 3 sisters:  Ivy Boyer, St. Louis, MO; Venus Cernicek, DeSoto, MO; Louise McKeener, DeSoto, MO 1 brother: Clifford Reece, Livermore, CA. Rev. John (Bysie) Siebold performed the funeral.

She married three times.  She married # 3, Ollie A. Jobe.  She married Lewis McKellop 1920.  Lewis was the son of Wm McKellop.  She married  ________ Whitehead 1925.

27      vii. Clifford Reece was born in Stigler   Haskell  OK February 8, 1905.  He resided in Livermore CA.

28     viii. Ronnie Reece was born in Stigler   Haskell  OK September 3, 1907.  Ronnie died October 1909 in Stigler Haskell OK, at 2 years of age.

29        ix. Iva Reece was born in Stigler   Haskell  OK September 3, 1909.  She married twice.  She married ______ Boyer.  She married Howard Whitehead 1927. She resided in St. Louis, MO, 1980's.

30         x. Harsie Louise Reece was born in Stigler   Haskell  OK November 17, 1911.  She married twice.  She married Hubert Walker date unknown.  She married Alfred McKeever in Weleetka Okfuskee OK, April 23, 1942. See Family Stories.

31        xi. Sam Reece was born in Dustin   Hughes Co. OK July 24, 1914.  Sam died October 1981 in Muskogee Muskogee Co. OK, at 67 years of age.  His body was interred 1981 in Leavensworth KS.

32       xii. Dan Reece was born in Dustin   Hughes Co. OK July 24, 1914.  Dan died February 11, 1974 in Muskogee Muskogee Co. OK, at 59 years of age.

33      xiii. Venice Reece was born in Dustin   Hughes Co. OK September 24, 1916.  She married Joe Cernick in DeSoto MO, September 30, 1931.

34      xiv. Enoch Reece was born in Dustin   Hughes Co. OK January 6, 1922.  Enoch died August 5, 1922 at less than one year of age.

14.  Arthur Jessie3 Reece (Jasper Newton2, Zacariah C.1) was born in Enola   Faulkner Co.  AR August 5, 1879.  Arthur died October 5, 1967 in Dardanelle Bottoms Yell Co. A, at 88 years of age. He married Barbara J. Wright in Fowler Yell Co. AR, May 23, 1901.

Arthur was listed as the head of a family on the 1910 Census in Stigler Haskell OK.  1910 Census, Stigler, Haskell OK
