THE END Sitting here on my rooftop, I get those chills. But this time I had gotten chills and goose bumps not from the fear of falling but fear of distruction. The temperature drastically went down from being warm and convertible to a cold sinister prick. As others stood staring from their windows, doorways, and patios, looking at the red beaten sky. They had made their own conclusions that the reason for this was an early sunset, or an odd storm, But I had been tipped off by a strange letter that it was neither, but a sign of death for my world. I sat up looking down at the children in the streets, wanting to tell them to run or hide, but no matter where they went, I knew that all their fates had been sealed. And I sat there, laying on the rooftop like the rest of the sheep at the butcher shop, waiting for the slaughtering to begin. Then I saw it, or them. Almost like meteorites striking the earth they came down from the red swollen sky. And just before they would crash they would open their hideously leather wings and blew the elements from their mouths. Some caused walls to shatter after their breaths caused the walls to turn to ice. Others would upchuck rocks and boulders that would destroy the cars parked along the streets. While yet other ones had such strong lungs they blew down trees in the park. And like an old cliché there were ones who blew fire from their mouths, which sent people running from their burning homes into the streets, only to be killed by another kind. Out of all the winged fiends, they were the ugliest. They had teeth so narrow and long they stung my eyes with pain when I looked at them. Even though they reeked havoc on the city, they had not yet made their way over by me. Like a dark plague they flew through the streets shreeking and cauking their hatred songs of death. As the young children screamed out their last breath in the streets I caused my head to head to turn away and cowered my head in my knees. Moments latter I heard a familiar scream that sent me scampering to the front of the roof and caused me to peer down. My eyes followed my love to the streets while hearing him scream my kid brothers' name "KLIEDUTH!" There, then I saw the horror. An evil baysterd with long sharp teeth had held my brother. Holding his limp head, arms and his still little chest in one hand and his limp legs in the other, and in between the two was his hideous grinning face all covered in his innocent blood. Suddenly, before I could even react to the situation I heard a battle cry from below me. My fiancé had drawn his sward and lifted it above his head and sent himself to his own doom. Before he could even get close enough to make a mark on the demon's' body another one came from his side and tore out an internal organ and sinisterly landed beside me while indulging himself on the needed body part. In total rage I leaped from my rooftop and landed in a crouch next to my loves' lifeless body. Then one of the demond's swooped above me causing my to go into a somersault, and while doing this I grabbed my loves sward from his hand and sliced opened the beast as I stood up. My eyes burned with fury, only to seek my family's murderers. I ran toward the beast that just threw my brother's body. I jumped high into the air forcing all my weight and strength into the blade of the sebre. And as I came down my rage gathered with my speed, screaming "F*CK YOU!" as I sliced the demond's head open, and his blood flowed like a fountain over the payvment. I turned around and found more demon's had seen the battle and were coming to their fellows aid. I knew I was not trained enough to fight them all and so I ran to seek haven in my home. As I opened the front door I was greeted by a hideous demon's face and in shock, slammed the door in his face. Hearing him yelp and then tarring apart the door with his massive claws, I ran to my neighbor's house. I tried the door, locked. "Sh*t." I mumbled, but I sure as h#ll was not going to stay out side, so I broke down the door. The stench of death gripped their home as I entered. I looked in the living room and there lied the family. I quickly realized that if the front door was locked, that their murder could have still be in the home. My heart began beating very heavily in my throught as I turned the corners in their home. But every time I looked around a corner or behind a door I found nothing. I figured the safest place in the house would be their storage room in their basement, and so I headed down into the cold damp basement. As I opened the door to the storage room I was met by a small demond who hissed at me. But before I allowed it to show me its power I kicked it into the wall and decapitated it. I shut the storage door and turned on the light, as to make sure that there were no small beasts trying to share my haven with me. I peered into the back corner where something had caught my eye. It was Nicky, a 5 yr. Old little girl who my kid brother always played with. Her body twitched, her eyes fluttered and blood dripped from her nose and mouth. As I scanned her body I knew she was dead. And that the little beast that I just killed had just taken her life. My legs suddenly lost all their strength, my stomach became tensed and I was forced down to my knees by earth's gravity and I vomited on the floor right then and there. "Oh God" I whimpered as tears burned in my eyes. "Oh God" I looked up from the floor at Nicky's body and threw up once more. I decided not to look in the little child's direction, in fear that I would hurl again. "oh god" I turned and leaned against a bag or rice. I covered my mouth with my hand and felt my fingers tremble against my lips. I ran my fingers through my hair and when I pulled them out they were covered in my sweat and blood from my kills. I looked down at my close and found them covered in the same mixture. And as I looked down at the blade of the sebre I saw my Kid brother getting killed and saw my die in its reflection. And the flashback caused me to pass out on the ground. By FAX
