~Oh oh Say can you see, by the Dawn's early light, what so proudly we hail, at the twilights last gleaming! Who's broad stripes and bright stars, through the pareless fight, o'ur the ramparts we watched, were so gailantly streaming. And the rockets red glare! The bombs bursting in air! Gave proof through the night, that our flag was still there. Oh say does that star-spangled banner yet wave...... O'UR THE LAND OF THE FREE AND THE HOME OF THE BRAVE! ~
Never would anyone have ever thought those words, or the words of "God Bless America" would touch us so deeply. Never until September 11,2001 when at approximently 8:42 am a commercial airliner crashed into the northern twin tower. This was thought to have been an accident until 9:03, that morning, when a secound airplane crashed into the secound tower. At the same times, 2 other airplanes were being aimed at their destinations by terrorists. One landed in the Pentagon, the other was reclaimed by passangers, and crashed into a feild in remote Pennsylvania. Please as you view my page, take time to remember them. Pray for them, as this has affected people as far away as China and California, and as close as I am to NYC. I am grief strickin, and hope that you, somehow, are too in your own way. At the moment a candle burns on my porch, illuminating a sad American Flag and a hand-made sign reading God Bless America. I hope he does. |
