Duo yawned, and then blinked sleepily. // That was one HELL of a dream... // he thought, then fully opened his eyes to find himself entangled with Wufei and Quatre. // Or not... //
Wufei smiled at Duo, having been awake for a few minutes already and enjoying watching his lovers sleep. "Good morning, Du-chan." He said softly, leaning forward to give Duo a kiss. Duo kissed him back lazily, a grin spreading across his face. Wufei's heart jumped, and he couldn't recall being quite so happy in a long time. Duo was smiling again!
A knock on the door derailed his train of thought, and Wufei stretched out with a yawn. "What is it?" he asked sleepily. Heero's voice drifted through the door.
"You might want to come out here and have a look at this." Heero stated, using up his quota of words for the month. Wufei blinked at Duo. They shook Quatre awake, dressed hurriedly, and ran out to the other room. Trowa was motioning to the T.V. screen, where a news broadcast was on.
"What..." Duo began, but was silenced by Trowa. The five pilots stared in shock at the television as they listened to the announcer's voice.
"...And in other news, the OZ organization proudly announces that today the pilot of Gundam 05 was taken into custody..."
Wufei blinked. "I was?..." This earned a giggle from Duo and Quatre. The screen switched to a picture of Shenlong, crashed on the ground and flaming, and OZ soldiers hauling...none other than Taulis Majeare out of the wreckage. The pilots looked at each other, Heero and Trowa in slight confusion and the other three in sudden understanding.
"No way! Oh, this is *awesome*!" Duo cheered. "They thought he was you, Fei! Teach him to steal your Gundam, ne?!"
Wufei nodded in agreement, a smile on his face. The rest of the newscast caused Taulis's former prisoners to laugh even harder.
"...the pilot of 05 continued to demand that he was, in truth, one of OZ's own soldiers, formerly stationed at the destroyed Guenivere Base. There were no survivors from the destruction at Guenivere, and still the pilot demanded he was one of the Guenivere scientists. Officials say he had computer disks with him, with what the Gundam pilot demanded was the Guenivere Worm. Officials report that the disks were destroyed, for fear that they were a virus. Through it all, this man demanded he was an OZ soldier, and was committed to the Shylen Home for the mentally ill."
Duo was practically rolling on the ground. "They locked the bastard in an asylum! Oh my gods...that's way too funny..." Duo was laughing so hard he had tears in his eyes. Quatre wasn't much better off, and even Wufei was laughing softly. Duo managed to calm down, and grinned. "Score! Us, five points, OZ punks, Zero! We win again!"
Quatre smiled. "Of course we win, Duo...Always and forever..."
