Episode 18: Christmas Daman"

Employee: Good afternoon, and welcome to b-da land. May I help you?
B-daman: I just arrived here from bomber sanction. I plan to spend the holidays here.
Employee: Okay Mr...
B-daman: Jack.
Employee: Mr. Jack you can pick up your luggage nearby. Thank you for using B-Da Air.
Jack: Your welcome.
(Jack walks over to his luggage and leaves the airport terminal.)
Jack(Thinking.): My brother will be SO surprised!
(Meanwhile Akira and Melody are going home from some Christmas shopping.)
Akira: Man what a haul! I got something for everyone on my list!
Melody: Good for you then!
(Then Melody thinks..)
Melody: I really shouldn't tell Akirabon what I got him, but I think I'm about to burst!
Akira(Thinking.): Oh! I forgot to get Melodybon something...(To Melody.) You go on home, I'll see you later.
Melody: Okay.
(She leaves and Akira looks around town for something for his sister.)
Akira: What can I find so late into Christmas shopping season?
Voice: Looking for a gift?
(Akira turns to the voice, and it is coming from a brown b-daman with a stand.)
Akira: Yeah I am. Who are you?
Guy: I'm Momitebon, I sell presents for a cheap price.
Akira: Really. What do you sell?
Momite: I have everything for everybody!
Akira: Any thing for an eight-year-old girl?
Momite: Why yes!
(He goes into the back of the stand and soon comes out with a Mimitan plush)
Momite: This is perfect for her!
Akira: Wow! How much?
Momite: I think I can part with this thing for 5 dollars.
Akira: Good, cause that's what I have.
(He hands over the money and gets the doll.)
Momite: Thank you, and merry Christmas!
(Akira waves and walks away, and once he is out of sight Momite laughs evilly.)
Momite: Hee hee (Rubbing hands together.) Now my plan for Christmas redemption is under way! I've sold enough stuff to get revenge on everybody for not giving me anything for Christmas!
(Momite laughs again, and now we go to the narrator b-da that is walking alone.)
Narrator b-da: I don't get to have a merry Christmas, no one cares about the narrator.
(Then a helicopter flies over-head and a gift wrapped box lands on the narrator.)
Narrator b-da: Watch where you drop things!
(Then he notices that there is a tag with his name on it on the box.)
Narrator b-da: For me?
(He rips open the box and finds a suit of armor.)
Narrator b-da: This is perfect! Now bad things can't happen to me!
(He puts on the armor.)
Narrator b-da: I feel invincible!
(Then it rains suddenly, and just as suddenly as it started it stops.)
Narrator b-da: Rust...Neeed...ooooooiiillllll...
(Meanwhile at Dr. Grey's lab Ao and the doctor are decorating the lab for the holidays.)
Ao: This ought to make things less gloomy around here.
Rui-Rui: Rui rui rui!
Dr. Grey: Yes finally a time to avoid thinking of those dragons!
Ao: I suppose though that no one will come since Akabon is holding a party at her palace.
Dr. Grey: I suppose, but still it's nice to make this place look festive.
(Then the door opens and Aka comes in.)
Ao: Hello Akabon!
Rui-Rui: Rui! (Jumps into her arms.)
Aka: Hello everyone! You too Rui-Rui!
Dr. Grey: I thought that you would be at the palace helping with decoration.
Aka: Well I was helping, then I accidentally dropped some decorations and Midoribon freaked out and told me to take a walk.
Ao: I thought Queens were supposed to be dainty and elegant.
Aka: I'm not just any queen I'm myself.
Ao: Where is Pi-Po?
Aka: At the palace, I wonder if we'll have any other past acquaintances appear anytime soon?
(Meanwhile in town Jack is walking around looking at the sights.)
Jack: It certainly has changed a lot since I left.
(Then he bumps into someone.)
Jack: I'm sorry!
(It's Michiko.)
Michiko: It's okay, I should have watched where I was going.
Jack: No it's my fault.
Michiko: Let's not worry about whose fault it is.
Jack: Okay. I know this is impromptu of me, but do you know a Kurobon? I'm his brother.
Michiko(Thinks.): Oh no! That's that evil guy Kurobon! But I don't think his brother knows, and I don't want to break the news to him.
Jack: Um you don't know?
Michiko: Well I don't know where Kurobon is exactly, but you should go to Dr.Greybon's lab, where there are people that do know.
Jack: Where is that?
Michiko: Just head to the outskirts of town.
Jack: Okay thanks.
(He leaves.)
Michiko: He's so nice! But I'm pretty sure he has a girlfriend.
(Meanwhile Akira is at home and he has just put the present for Melody under the tree.)
Akira: I can't wait to see her face!
(Then the doorbell rings and Akira gets up to open the door, and it is Rei, Shoizu and Ken.)
Akira: Hey guys! What do you want?
Ken: Rei is making us go caroling...
Rei: You guys need to get the Christmas spirit!
Shoizu: The Christmas spirit is snowball fights and presents!
Rei: You don't have any spirit at all.
Akira: What does this have to do with me?
Rei: Get a coat on Akira! We're going caroling!
Akira: Do I have a choice?
(Rei shakes her head, and Akira gets his coat. Meanwhile Jack has just come to the lab of Dr.Grey.)
Jack: I can't wait to see their faces!
(He knocks and on the inside Ao opens the door.)
Ao: Kurobon?
Jack: No Aobon! It's me Jack!
Aka: Jack! (Laughs nervously.) What are you doing here?
Jack: I came to see Kurobon. Where is he?
(Ao, Aka, and Dr. Grey look at each other.)
Jack: Is there something I should know?
(Later, Jack sits in a chair with a solemn expression.)
Jack: So now it is I that sits on the outside alone.
Aka: Come on Jack! Be strong, Kurobon was for you.
Ao: That's right.
Jack: Yes I suppose you're right. (Sighs.) But I came to see my brother. What shall I do now that he isn't... Coming?
Aka: I was having a holiday party at my palace, even though it's V.I.P, I'll invite you too.
Jack: No I couldn't impose.
Aka: I insist!
Jack: I suppose it IS better than being alone.
Aka: Good. I'll see you tonight.
(Jack nods, and the time frame moves to that night at Akira's house where Shiro is getting ready.)
Akira: Are you sure I can't come?
Shiro: No kids allowed.
Akira: Even me?
Shiro: If we invited you then every kid would want to come.
Akira: Fine.
(Shiro is wearing a tuxedo, and he pops out a top hat.)
Shiro: Now it's time to get out on the town.
Akira: How is dressing like that supposed to help you get women?
Shiro: The ladies love it when guys dress snazzy.
Akira: Oh. Well good luck then.
(Shiro nods.)
Shiro: Bye now kid and don't give your mom trouble.
Akira: Okay. You're sounding less like a friend and more like a father.
Shiro: I've been hanging out with you and Melodybon too long that's why.
(Shiro exits, and now we go to the party where everyone is dancing in a ball room...Well except Jack.)
Ao: Hmm Jack still looks lonely.
Aka: I'll fix that.
(She walks up to Jack, and Jack is taken aback by her gallant dress and ballroom attire.)
Aka: Want to dance?
Jack: No thank you.
Aka: Come on! Be a man and dance.
(She takes his hand and pulls him on the dance floor. The two of them then go into a waltz.)
Aka: You dance divinely.
Jack: I learned from the master.
Aka: Kurobon?
Jack: How do you think he moves so swiftly?
(Meanwhile back with Momite, The brown b-daman counts down on a watch in an alley.)
Momite: it won't be long until midnight, and then my plan takes an effect!
(Then Momite thinks.)
Momite: Then again...this will just make everyone even meaner to me, and what will I do with all those presents by myself?
(He takes the watch and presses a button.)
Momite: Forget it plans aborted. I'm lonely and angry, but not evil.
(He begins to walk, not toward home, but just in a general direction. Then someone calls his name.)
Voice: Momitebon!
Momite: What?
(Kiiro runs up.)
Kiiro: What are you doing here so late at night?
Momite: I've got no where to be.
Kiiro: Really? Well I was going to the holiday party at Akabon's place, and I guess you could come.
Momite: I'm not invited, and anyway they'd just kick me out.
Kiiro: Forget about them. Lets go.
Momite: Okay I guess..
(They head up to the palace. Kiiro goes inside and Momite follows a couple of seconds later. Once Momite goes inside everyone stops and is silent. Then Aka comes up.)
Aka: Kiirobon! Why did you bring him here?
Kiiro: Because he's with me!
Aka: No one wants him here, get him out!
Kiiro: No.
Aka: What?
Kiiro: Look, Christmas time is the time where people get together. People of all types, all personalities and all backgrounds. I'm not the most nice guy myself, so if I'm willing to put the past aside, why can't you?
(Everyone chatters, and then Aka says.)
Aka: Fine. (To Momite) If anything is missing once you leave, I'll call the police on you.
Momite(Rubbing hands together): Hee hee I won't touch a thing! You've got my honorship pledge!
(Shiro walks up.)
Shiro: Akabon everyone is famished! When do we eat?
Aka: Now I guess.
(Soon everyone is in the elaborate dining room.)
Aka: Everyone is here...(Looks around.) Where is Jack?
(Outside Jack walks through the night until he hears a loud sound behind him.)
Jack: What was that?
(He squints in the darkness and sees Hiryu in front of him.)
Jack: Hiryu?
(Hiryu sighs and gets a sad look.)
Jack: I see in the dark you thought I was Kurobon.
(Hiryu nods.)
Jack: Come on. Lets go.
(Hiryu allows him on his back and flies away.)
Jack: I will see my brother before I go home and that's a promise.
(The two fly into the moon light and soon fade out of sight.)
