Sumant- He's my best pal from school. Simply put, a guy

with a heart of gold. He's seems to have become more

practical than he used to be at a school. Always an

unputdownable Saggitarian.

Siddharth- He's our very own Sid. A most focussed guy

you could ever find.

Abhijit (Basak)- The proverbial academic high-flier at school.

We shared our bench at school punning away to glory.

Malay- The shy guy whom one can depend on.

Vivek- Mr. Clockwork. Ideal student.

Niraj- Eats, sleeps and lives computers.

Soumyajit- Must have been the best student to study at my school for many a generation!

Indradeep- He was basically my best pal at the tuitions.

Colony Pals:-

Arjun- This lean fella bowls faster than you could

imagine. We could talk about cricket till we fell

asleep.

Neetu- A friendly girl who’s into Education as a subject.

Akhil- Another shy guy. Soft due to a pampered

upbringing but an efficient guy nevertheless.

Sonia- An old pal who did her schooling from La Martiniere for Girls.

Lima- The most nimble Badminton player our colony has

seen.

Lisa- A good pal who was pretty good at acads. Got an MBA from IIM-L.

Sunny- Only he could wear coloured vests outside home.

Rusa- More of an e-pal as I have met her only a few times in real life before we wrote helluva long emails to each other.

Abhijit (Menon-Sen)- He'll surely invent something big or make a

path-breaking software.

Rahul- He doesn't get any time off from groovin in da

discos, does he?

College Pals:-

Ashutosh- My room-mate. Need I say more?

Shraddha- She managed to have max her exams and have loads of fun at the same time.

Mrinal- I never expected a guy an year junior to me would become such a good pal of mine.

Shweta- The daughter of Kanpur’s best Med school’s Director. She rode her scooty religiously.

Amit- Another pal an year junior to me.

Avinash- He’s the DASA (NRI) pal of mine

Ashish- Mr. Normal Guy (How unusual!)

Anoop- Yeh Kanhepur se hain!

Shiladitya- Our dearest Shilu. Heavier than the heaviest

WWF fighter but has the sharpest of wits.

Amlendu- Bihari babu who has the mind of a Ramanujam.

Rakesh- The cutest-looking guy ever. (Not that I have alternative preferences!)

Pals from Indian Aluminium (my first company): -

Sutirtha- A jovial guy whom I liked chatting to.

Shukla- She enlivened up the IT department.

Sarfaraz- Basically a cool chap.

Mr. Sanjeev Gupta- A graduate from IIT-D who headed the Production department (Yes, he is a friend!)

Mr. Narinder Walia- That baritone wasn’t the only thing about him.

Pals from Aditya Birla Management Corporation Limited (my second company): -

Himashu- Big guy with a big heart.

Sandesh- Sweet guy. All smiles.

Neha More- To say that she is nice is an understatement.

Rohini- The girl with boundless energy.

Neha Mitroo- (this is where I left off last)

Sumant- Did his MS at Arizona State University. Working at Idaho.

Siddharth- Did his MS at Massachusets Institute of Technology and is now doing his PhD at the same place.

Abhijit (Basak)- Got into IIML but didn't join it. Worked for ST Microelectronics. Joined IIM-A. Worked for Inductis. Has just resigned.

Malay- Resigned his Engineering job at TISCO and is pursuing an MBA at NUS.

Vivek- Did his MS at Carnegie-Mellon

Niraj- Ph.D. at Carnegie-Mellon

Soumyajit- MS and then PhD at Massachusetts Institute of Technology

Indradeep- He did his Masters in the land down under and is back in the country working.

Arjun- Did his MSc at IMSc, Chennai and is now at Allahbad pursuing a PhD.

Neetu- Did her MA in Education from Cal Univ and plans to pursue further studies in Europe.

Akhil- Did LLB at NLS, Bangalore

Sonia- Wrote code at Infy and is now about to join SP Jain for an Exec MBA

Lima- Did his B.Tech. at IIT Roorkee

Lisa- Was at GE Caps. Now working in Canada with a Fin Services firm.

Sunny- Dropped out of St. Stephen's to join Presidency,

Calcutta

Rusa- Doing her MA in Eco. From JNU. Will be joininig McKinsey and Co.

dad.

Rahul- Now in college.

Ashutosh- Did his MS at Ohio State University and is working in the US

Mrinal- Completed B.Tech. Worked for Amsoft and Mentor Graphics. Now at IIM-C.

Shraddha- Was at Evalueserve.

Amit- Working for an IT firm in NCR

Shweta- Had joined Paxonet

Avinash- Completed B.Tech. and is working for Sapient Corp

Ashish- Programming job at Interra

Anoop- Did M.Tech. at IIT Kanpur and then joined ISRO

Shiladitya- Finished Integrated MSc and joined UIUC for post-grad

Amlendu- Engineering job at National Instruments

Rakesh- Working for MNC (Idex Corp) at Mumbai
