Message from your oldest grand-daughter...
Dear Grammie,
Remembering the highlights of my past,
you appear in a lot of my favorite stories.
I have laughed so hard thinking of things we've done together.
There really was never a dull moment in the
whole time I've spent with you, even bedtime was a riot.
We have done everything. Remember that squirrel
that kept running up and down the screen of the window?
You sure fixed him by shooting his tail off.
Remember the time when we went on a trip
and got caught in the big snowstorm on the way back.
We had to turn around and go to Dewey's
house for the night.
I remember how, whenever we went for a drive somewhere
you let go of the wheel while I held on.
I was so proud because I actually thought
I was driving.
I also remember when you bought me that tape
of Macarena and for the whole afternoon you, me
and Tanya danced to it. Actually, that was the day
Mother Nature visited me for the first time.
I should have known then that I was destined
to have it every single time I visited you since that day.
At the camp, we had to go outside in the
freezing cold and at the cottage, we went outside.
No wonder I love nature so much. Ya Right!!!
I think of you always at that time of the month.
Remember me having to clean
your feet and buff them?
You knew I hated doing it but
I just couldn't say no.
And like I said before, even bedtime was fun.
Once when we didn't feel like making
the beds the next day, we all camped out
on the living room floor and
talked for a long time.
It felt like a sleepover party.
Being with you wasn't like being with a
grandma but like being with a friend.
I've had so much fun with you
and I'm happy you're my grammy.
Happy Mother's Day!
I love you!
Your oldest grand-daughter
