| SEF play Bar Academy Thursday August 4th, w/support from Aquila and Photo, £3adv/£4 on the door, Doors 8:30-ish Sup. Hope summer is treating you well. As for SEF we've been practicing day in day out in a converted garage (a little piece of heaven in my world) and progress has been steady. We also went on a shopping spree with the winnings from the last show. Hoard highlights so far include an 80s film called Interface and California Games. In other news the rest of the summer is shaping up to be great. We're recording a session for the Volts Show and making some sweet sweet music with Sunset Cinema Club. More details on that and other shows to follow soon. For now check out the new pictures on Myspace and hopefully see you guys Thursday. Over and Out, RaLPh June 17th - we gets up Hey. So it seems like it's been a while, let me bring you up to speed. Bryn, Alys and myself took a trip down to London to visit David and see They Might be Giants, which was pretty great. Afterwards we watched a film with Tom Waits in about fishing, disappointing record shopping aside it was a good trip. In other news, i went to see Mark Kozelek and passed my first year at Nottingham U, Bryn has been studying for and taking exams, and i dont really know what David and Andrew have been up to but i'm sure they're fine too. SEF have been slowly getting back into gear. We're playing our first show back at Bar Academy on August 4th, then there'll be some other writing, recording and shows, then in September we'll be playing the Jug of Ale (the first wednesday) but that's the end of the summer and who wants to think about that now? We got some play on the Volts Show. If you check out the site and vote for us then we get in a chart and get played more and more people hear us and stuff. Also SEF are now on Myspace so feel free to add us. Thanks to everyone who made it out to the Jug show. It was good to see everyone again, and a load of people i dont think i've seen at SEF shows before. Sorry it was a little rusty, we didnt settle into the Disto-lock up fast enough really. but thanks to pete and the other distophias for housing SEF over the holidays. So we're kinda into exam season now, but we've started gearing up for the summer. David bought himself an amp, which i'm reliably informed is 'awesome', Bryn has been writing lots for the new EP, Andrew has been supplying the people of Manchester with SEF cds, and ive been finding weird and wonderful places for us to play in the summer. The plan is to have a mini-tour-carnival-of sorts RaLPh |
