Damn my Eyes
Damn my eyes
war climbing terror
is chained to my eyes
the two cars crashed
into my lawn
my green mess of wreck
of damning shame
loss of dignity
this is my blame
Damn my eyes

Falling from the cars
all are blueberries
when they reach out
and they scream for help

Sky no longer blue
but filled ash and gray
There they lay
Blue and turned
crushed and buried
like berries carried
in undersized sack
Flew from the top
Then they dropped off
Damn my eyes.
