Some Poems I Wrote
Back
Swimming Head

The   personal   insecurities   pool
in   past   sorrows   swims   the   dumb limbless   fool
dives   in   because   the   world   is   false   and   cruel
Not   the   glass   but   the   bottle   that's   half   full

I Am The Pill That Listens

I am the pill that listens
I wonder will depression fade
I hear banging at the door
I see anger in snarling faces
I want to never be the hateful parent
I am the pill that listens

I pretend the words breathed don't hurt
I feel time pass...
I touch their flat glossy smiles
I worry Innocence is missing
I cry cuddling with lonely shadows
I am the pill that listens

I understand Hurt is blameless
I say fun is what we live for
I dream of transparent lovers
I try to fluster silent friends
I hope for a pleasant future
I am the pill that listens.

Forms of Corruption

Furs  and  sparkling  diamonds  go  to  my  shame
These  plush  pockets  fill  with  destructive  greed
Cry  when  out  of  reach  of  the  flashing  fame
Corpses  rot  and  hungry  reporters  feed
Views  locked  into  this  surreality
True  beliefs  and  morals  our  children  lose
"We  want  you!"  declare  government  war  dogs
Ship  our  boys  over  to  foreign  countries
Young  witness  army  friends  die  through  thick  fogs
It  is  politicians'  bloodthirst  they  please
Return  to  heaven;  question  "What  were  we?"
Before  when  we  were  fish  in  the  blue  sea
