This drawing (color pencil) depicts how I felt about life in high school and that is when I drew it. The screw in the top left corner describes how I felt that I was screwed together or put together rather as pieces. I did not feel entirely whole. The moon, sun and keyhole in the pupil describes how I felt that one could see the universe in another's eyes and how I wished someone would see it in mine. The clothes describe how I felt naked... and that the abscence of clothes marked something that was wrong. The eye is beginning to cry. |

I really like this picture. There is a definite feeling to it. I could not cut one girl out of the drawing (color pencil and graphite). One is not complete without the other. I actually got this picture from the poster in the Adema album. I'm sure it looks somewhat different from what I drew. |

This drawing (chalk pastel) depicts a certain kind of freedom. I call it "Dancer." I tried to represent the motion in the drawing as much as possible. |

I think this drawing (oil pastel) is most interesting. It depicts a woman's frustration and possibly her wrath. |

I listened to a lot of Linkin Park when I worked on this drawing (color pencil and acrylic). I tried to display a feeling of drowning. It is nightmarish with the person in the corner screaming for help or perhaps in pain while a snake winds itself tight around her or his neck. There is a lot of symbolism with a key dangling from the serpent's tail, a ripped and unplugged mic, a river of blood, and a candle melting a suspended spiked lock. The finishing touch was my painting my hand in red paint and pressing it on top of the lock's key hole. |
