6th Annual Cypress Harvest and Volunteer Recognition Breakfast ~ Oct 28th
This is a GREAT event for your scouts!!!  Its Free, there is breakfast and it helps the environment!!!  Go to the Arthur R Marshall Refuge.  FREE, Fun-filled event for the entire family.  A volunteer will take you and your girls and show everyone what a Cypress seed looks like.  Then the girls will pick them.  After they are turned in, the volunteers will show the girls how they are cleaned and how they will be planted later to help restore the Everglades.  It is such a fun and educating experience for your girls.  I highly recommend it.  Volunteers should wear closed-toed shoes, hats, sunscreen, and sunglasses.  Water and breakfast provided.  Go to
the website and see other Girl Scouts that have participated in the past!!  Hope to see you there...
