As I crossed the Kaibab Bridge a commercial river trip passed underneath me. Here you can see several boats heading downstream towards the Silver Bridge. In the close-up you can see that this is an AzRA oarboat trip. |

Views of the Bright Angel Creek. It took me just over four hours to hike down the South Kaibab Trail. I could have done it much faster but I took my time to take plenty of photographs. The photo to the left is looking upstream; Bright Angel Camprground is just past those trees and Phantom Ranch is just past the camprground. The lower photo is looking south. The South Rim is visible; I think that you can see Mather Point and Yavapai Point way up there. (I know that from Mather Point you can look down into Bright Angel Canyon.) |
