| These are small and obscure lizards that are seldom seen above ground. They are found in moist habitats with loose soil. Look for them under rocks, pieces of bark, and other debris. This specimen was photographed in the Zuni Mountains of New Mexico. The main diet of these lizards is ant larvae. |
