Micheal
Jordan
This book is about Michael Jordan. Michael Jordan was very gifted with his athletic abilites and his talent. Also with his height, nobody in his family is over 6-foot and here's Michael 6-6. He's brother is only 5'8 and has the same gifts that Michael has.
It talks about his failures, success, his life and the decision that he made. It talks about the bad decision that became good in the end or not helpful at all and the good choices.
This is a very motivating book it inspired me to never give up even when it might not be in my favor to achieve that goal.
When a situation doesn't happen or you don't get or make the things you want to there always something good around the corner.
For example, in this book "Michael Jordan" Michael didn't get accepted to UCLA the school that he wanted to go. So he ended up in North Carolina which turned out to be one of the biggest accomplishments that happened in his life.
During his time in North Carolina he learned a lot from his coach Roy Williams. As a freshman he scored the winning basket in the 1982 NCAA Championship Game. Jordan was selected the player of the year for the 1983-84 season. Even though he got cut from the varsity team as a sophmore he still managed to make it to the NBA and win six NBA titles.
As he got drafted to the NBA his junior year he was expecting to be the first or second pick but he end up being the third in which I don't think nor does he think he would have done as good as he did if he wasn't the third pick.
The first pick was Hakeem Olajuwon to the Houston Rockets, the second was Sam Bowie to the Portland Trailblazers, and the third was Michael Jordan to the Chicago Bulls.
As we all know Michael Jordan came out to be the best player out of those two and everybody else. Here's a brief example of his accomplishments: Rookie of the year, five time MVP, six time NBA Champion, six time NBA First Team, nine time NBA All Defensive First Team, Defensive player of the year, 14 time NBA All-Star, three time NBA All-Star MVP, 50th Anniversary All Team, and Ten time Scoring titles.
If that not great I dont know what is.
Michael went into retirement in the 1993-94 season to play in the Major Leagues (baseball). He came out of retirement in the late 94-95 season wearing the number 45 because that was he brother favorite number, but he eventually changed back to 23. In addition, he wore the number 23 because it was half of his brothers favorite number. Futhermore, he went back to retirement missing three seaons 1988-99-2000-01. Then came back again in the 01-02 season to play for the Washington Wizards.
Michael use to practice all day in his yard with his older brother. He's older brother always use to beat him actually he probably still could beat him now. He use to always want to win so he stayed in the yard and practiced longer so that one day he could finally win.
Michael grew up with the same attitude write into the NBA when Larry Bird and Ervin "Majic Johnson" was better then him he tried to get better he thought how can he better then those two how can he stand out. So he worked on his defense.
Michael wanted to be the best at everything he do. He was very competitive. He hated to lose at anything he do even a game of cards or chess.
