THINGS YOU NEVER KNEW ~ Written on 24 June 2001 |

In the starting scenes when Jafar is searching for the Cave of Wonders, he takes out a beetle-shaped charm from his pocket, which happens to be concave. However, when he holds it up to match it with the other half taken from the peasant, the original piece is now shown as convex instead.
Prince Akmed (Jasmine's first suitor) is seen storming out of the palace with his pants torn. The next scene shows Rajar (Jasmine's pet tiger) with a piece of Prince Akmed's boxers (heart-shaped motif) in his mouth and not the pants.
Remember the Sultan's blue diamond, which is on his left ring finger? It appears only a few seconds before Jafar asks for it. If the ring is so important, how come it was added almost as a second thought?
An interesting point: The scrolls in the movie appear to be written in Arabic but the Sultan and Jafar read the script from left to right, even though Arabic is read from right to left.
In the scene where Aladdin first frees the Genie, the Carpet hides from the Genie. However, the Genie gives him (it?) a high five later and claims how long they haven't seen each other. If they're so great pals, why would Carpet hide from the Genie when he first appears?
Surprisingly, when Jasmine is in her room, the number of flowers in the vase on the table keeps changing from shot to shot. Does it mean that Rajar keeps taking and replacing the flowers??
During "A Whole New World", Jasmine and Aladdin fly past a full moon on the Carpet. However, when they next fly across a stream, the reflection shows a crescent moon. Exactly how many days did that flight take???
Throughout the whole movie, the patches on Aladdin's pants keep changing positions. In addition, the Sultan's feather on his turban changes colour from blue to grey and black. The gem on his turban frequently changes colour too.
