It differ fundamentally from traditional continuous improvement processes because it is entirely action based. Teams are charged with both developing and implemeting their solutions. Team paticipatants are not only plan, they clean equipments, sort tools, move machinaery, assemble, build and run the process (Within safety guidelines). |

Top down Process It has process owner, the individual with real ownership and responsibility who has authority to change the processes. Team process A team is selected from a range of functional disciplines, and the core members from the area attached. The real people who do the work. The team has given the basic education about learning manufacturing & kaizen tools. The team then spend 3-5days defining and carrying out the actions necessary to change the process and about the needed improvement Manufacturing personnel have little or no time for improvrment. Three days is rught amount of time people could spend away from their day to day job. It results in 90% reduction time in one week. 20-60 % improvrmrnt in a week. |

KAIZEN SCHEDULE Day 1 :- Half day training, case study, cleaning the workplace, discarding unneeded items. Discuss and decide the ideal solution. Frequent diagram checks point out sticking point. Teams can be break into smaller group. Day 2 :- Build it, Try it, Change it. Day 3 :- Change it again, try it again, and again. Day 4 :- Refine it, Try it, Prove it. |

Make a continuous process. Process steps in parallel ============================ =========== ======= ============= Build on process platform, Do not reinvent wheel. Copy, ammend, improve. Expand the view of the process. Remove operations from seperated departments and join them in a sequence. Customer, Supplier may be invited. |
