A Mathematician is a machine ,turning coffee into theorems

If numbers are not beautiful , then I dont know what is.

The aim of life is to proove and conjecture .

Life is too short to repeat a proof.

There is no permanent place for Ugly Mathematics in this World.

Reductio ad absurdum , which Euclid loved so much ,is one of the mathematician's finest weapons . It is a far finer gambit than any chess play: A chess player  may offer the sacrifice of a pawn or even a piece , but a mathematician offers the game .
