How I loved to talk to you. I longed for the day to be through. Six o'clock we'd meet outside, Or rather I waited 'til you arrived. When you'd opened the gate, I'd be sitting there, Taken up roots in the tree. You'd smile, And say hello to me. I would say hello back And jump out of the tree. We'd walk to to gate dividing our yards And talk all night Underneath the stars. But now that you aren't here, Now that you're back in Brazil, I miss the chats we had back there, The ones the moon watch o'er. Sometimes I find myself revisiting the spot, And all the memories we made there |
