15. A PERFECT LIFE
You bury yourself in the headphones of your stereo.
You think you know a perfect life cuz of the thrill you felt.
Ignoring me is not the key to disregard your soul.
Embracing him is an excuse to let yourself fall down.

You wanted strength. I gave you myself,
so prove me wrong and throw his pictures out.
Everything you've ever dreamed is drowning beneath him.
It's drowning me.

You hid my notes in the false bottom of your dresser drawer.
You thought it best to let me go because you wanted more.
Blocking my glance is not the answer for your unfair war.
Holding his hand is an excuse for you to feel so bored.

You wanted peace. I gave you me.
So lost was I to even think you would see.
Everything you ever seemed is dead and withered,
inside of me.

Please don't act like he is me and I am blind to you.
You think you know a perfect life because of who you've screwed.
Bringing me down is not the comfort gift you chose to seek.
Picking you up is not my damned responsibility.

You wanted love. I gave you us.
You twisted me and left me lying in the dust.
Every name you've ever screamed is not around to save you.
I'm not around to see.
