| You bring me. You bend me. You break me. You take me. I need you more than you'll ever know. You miss me. You kiss me. You feel me. You steal me. I need you more than I'll ever show. Black nights. Your eyeshadow shields your eyes from the self-absorbing cries that we shared in the moonlight. Surprise. We stay up til 3 a.m. talking, laughing and living in the life we've come to grasp. You burned me. You spurned me. I forgive. I forget. This just goes to show the strength I lack. You told me you'd hold me, but then you ignored me. But I'm here to tell you I'm not done yet. Black nights. I'm standing under this tree trying to make you think of me. Falling leaves are landing freely, cloaking me in my defeat. Surprise. I'm shaking, leaning in the wind and I won't let the rain win. But I won't leave until you let me in. I'm freezing and dreaming of anything seeming like you. I'm hovering, uncovering the loneliness discovered by you. I've been meaning to say that I don't have all day, but I will wait forever for you. |
