SHORT BIO

Vin Diesel was born on July 18, 1967. He's native New Yorker. His original surname is Vincent and his first name is... unknown...
  Vin started acting when he was 7. By the time he was 20, Diesel was acting at theatre by day and working as a bouncer at night. He also majored in English (in preparation for screenwriting) at Hunter College.
  After two years he dropped out and began writing screenplays. His first film "Multi - Facial", which he wrote, directed, produced and starred in, screened at Cannes. His second film "Strays" screened at Sundance Festival.
  Steven Spielberg liked his movie "Multi - Facial" so much that he'd written a part for Vin in "Saving Private Ryan".
  In 1999 we could hear him as a voice of the Iron Giant. Currently he stars in the sci-fi thriller "Pitch Black" and more dramatic "Boiler Room".
